Wingstop (Suntec City) - Supposedly Number 1 Wings in America

Wingstop is one of the fastest growing chicken wing restaurant chain in the United States and this popular American restaurant has taken Singapore by storm with 3 outlets at Bedok Mall, City Square Mall and Vivocity. The fourth outlet at Suntec City Mall started operation on 28th October 2016 with 12 exciting   flavours   to tantalize your taste buds.    Let's go and find out it this chicken wing restaurant chain is really as good as everyone makes it out to be.     There are 12 flavours from the non-spicy   Teriyaki   and   Hawaiian   to the mild-spicy   Garlic Parmesan ,   Lemon Pepper   and   Hickory Smoked BBQ . Spicy-lovers can look forward to flavours such as   Oriental Soy Pepper ,   Louisiana Rub   and   Original Hot   to the mind-blowing   Kecap Manis ,   Mango Habanero   and   Atomic . The wings come in three forms: Classic Wings, Boneless Wings or Tender. You can...

Three Little Pigs Eatery (Tiong Bahru)

At Three Little Pigs, it's all about pigs (pork). Their signature pork chops are hand pounded and marinated in their special blend of spices.       I was recommended this   Logan Logan   drink but it was slightly disappointing. I was expecting a speciality drink, but what I got was a cup of longan syrup with ice cubes and a few pieces of dried longan. It's not worth the price.     Fish & Bacon Frits   is surprisingly tasty. The fresh fish fillet is wrapped with streaks of bacon, coated with batter and deep-fried till a crispy golden-brown. Paired with a tangy mango sauce, the softness of the fish fillet and the crispiness of the crispy skin creates an interesting contrast in texture while the sweetness of the mango sauce and saltiness from the bacon creates a wonderful contrast of flavour. This is definitely one of the most creative and tasty side dishes I have had in a while.     No meal is complete at Three Little Pigs Eatery ...

Tokyo Sundubu (Raffles City Shopping Center) - Korean Tofu Stew is Here in Singapore!

Sundubu is a type of Korean stew featuring tofu cooked with a variety of ingredients such as vegetables, meat and seafood.  This humble Korean dish gained popularity after a Korean immigrant opened a restaurant in Los Angeles specializing in   sunbudu.    Sundubu is said to be one of the beauty secrets of Korean ladies as tofu is high in protein but low in calories, capsaicin from the red pepper paste used in the stew enhances metabolism while the collagen-rich soup is good for the skin.     Tokoyo Sundubu, which is located at the basement of Raffles City Shopping Mall is the first restaurant in Singapore that specializes in   sundubu. There are 24 types of   sundubu, I am sure there is something for everyone.      All meals come with this cute bib that makes sure your clothes stay clean as you slurp away.     Wagyu Beef  is a special promotion to celebrate the opening of the Raffles City outlet. I chose the lowest le...

K.Cook Korean BBQ & Steamboat Buffet (Westgate)

Yes! K.Cook Korean BBQ & Steamboat Buffet has recently opened a new outlet at Westgate!  Quite a number of friends have recommended K.Cook Korean BBQ Buffet to me, but its location at Orchard Central is not very convenient for me, so even though I have been salivating after the delicious meats for many months, I have not had the chance to it out.    Now West-siders like me can look forward to having   delicious   Korean barbecue without having to travel far. Moreover, this outlet is the first Korean barbecue restaurant to combine Korean barbecue with steamboat.     There are 12 types of chicken, beef and pork to choose from, besides prawns, cuttlefish, sausages, fishballs and other steamboat ingredients. The meats include   Marinated Chicken with Soy Sauce ,   Marinated Pork Rib Shoulder ,   Pork Belly ,   Beef Chunk Tender ,   Bacon   and many others.   Fresh vegetables include three types of mushrooms, cabbage, ...

Caveman Food

I happened to be at Star Vista one day and I needed to get some lunch. I was feeling a little bloated and pressed for time so  I was looking for something light and I found this quirky little shop called Caveman Food.      Caveman Food strictly follows   a paleo   diet, which means no gluten, grains, soy, dairy and sugars on top of them more common no monosodium glutamate (MSG), cooking oil and artificial   flavourings. A meal consists of protein and 2 side dishes, with the option of topping up $1.60 for a drink.   I wanted to have Salmon Fillet but it was out of stock so I settled for   Beef Cubes   salad with side dishes of   Sweet Potato   and   Baked Eggs . The salad is miserable-looking with a few pieces of leathery-hard beef cubes on top of a bed of vegetables, dressed with vinaigrette dressing. Sweet Potato is very dry and Baked Eggs is bland.     This is literally what I would imagine our caveman ancestor...

Kim's Family Food Korean Restaurant (Bukit Timah)

After watching episode 513 of the Korean variety show Running Man where they were playing a game where the two teams have to buy the ingredients to make the Korean stew   nakji jeongol   (Korean octopus stew), I developed a sudden craving for this aromatic Korean stew, so I did a search and found out that   nakiji jeonggal   stew is not very popular in Singapore and it seems that the only restaurant that serves this stew is Kim's Family Restaurant.   I have been to the outlet at West Coast but this is my first time at the Bukit Timah outlet.    Every main course is accompanied by 12 Korean side dishes which are known as banchan. The banchan are refillable and the portions are generous.      Yes, here comes the   Nakji Jeongol   that I came for. This Korean spicy octopus casserole is usually meant for 2-3 people, but I managed to finish the pot all by myself. Fresh baby octopus is cooked together with mushrooms, tofu, green...

Andong Zzimdak

For those of   your   who are not very familiar with Korean cuisine,   jjim   is a Korean dish where fish or chicken and various vegetables is marinated in   ganjang   (Korean soy sauce) before being steamed or boiled. Andong of Gyeongsangbuk-do province in Korea is especially known for this dish, and this popular Korean dish has finally arrived in Singapore in the form of Andong Zzimdak, located at the basement of Raffles City Shopping Centre.   Side dishes such as kimchi and radish are a given in any Korean restaurant and I must say that the kimchi is one of the best I have tasted.   Since I am in a Korean restaurant, I thought I would drink a Korean drink, so I had   Iced Citron Tea, which is a popular Korean drink for its   many   health benefits in addition to its delicious taste such as its ability to smooth the throat and seasickness and it is an excellent source of vitamin c. It is sweet with the fleshing taste of cit...

Greendot (Westgate)

Ever since   greendot   set up its outlet at Westgate, it has   been   pack with people every single day, and even my mother has been singing its praises. I know that   greendot   is a vegetarian restaurant but I don't see what's so special about it that so many people love it so much, and I am about to find out why now.     Greendot's   serves   customizable bentos, signature rice bowls, noodles, salads and mushroom pots.     I tried   greendot's   Signature Rendang Mushroom Bowl   where fragrant white rice is topped with gong bao mushroom, broccoli, carrot and cucumber strips, lettuce and seaweed flakes. The   flavours   are stepped up with the addition of fragrant rending sauce that has just enough spiciness to kickstart the meal.   Singaporeans are becoming more and more   health-conscious   and   greendot   is a great place to have a veg...
