Javier's Rotisserie & Salad Bar

Javier's Rotisserie & Salad Bar is a "Value For Money" concept restaurant by Astons, serving delicious meals in a comfortable and casual setting.    The simple menu is presented on pan-shaped plagues hanging on the wall at the entrance of the restaurant.    The FIL-E-PLATE Salad Bar is one of its   kind,   offering an exciting array of fresh greens, ready-mix salads, fruits and cooked items. Priced at $7.90 for Small and $13.90 for Big, the salad bar alone is more than enough for a   healthy   and delicious meal.      The   Slow Roasted Chicken   is the signature of Javier's and the fork-tender chicken is freshly prepared and marinated for 24 hours with Javier's secret recipe before roasting. The marination has done a wonderful job of getting rid of the gamey taste and the meat is tender and juicy.     I was really looking forward to trying their   Slow Roasted Striploin   because my doctor has said...

The Good Trio (JCube) - Affordable Chinese Restaurant

If you are in JCube and you are looking for a good Chinese restaurant to have a meal, I highly recommend The Good Trio, a grand-looking Chinese restaurant located at the ground floor of JCube that serves up a delectable menu of Hokkien Sichuan dishes.          Do be careful when you are tackling   Deep Fried Ribbon Fish   as this fish is full of bones but the contrast between the tender flesh and crispy skin makes this such a delicious snack, you will not mind the bones at all.       Steamed Pork Dumplings , which is more commonly known as Xiao Long Bao, is a Shanghai dim sum made popular by restaurants such as Din Tai Fung and Paradise Dynasty. Although the stock sealed inside the dumplings is not fragrant enough and the skin breaks easily, the ingredients are fresh enough to warrant a try.     I personally think that   Deep Fried Corn-Shape Fish (Half)   is an ingenious creation.   The fish   fillet i...

SBCD Korean Tofu House - New Korean Soontofu and Bulgogi Restaurant

Tanjong Pagar Centre is an up-and-coming retail mall that sits right on top of the Tanjong Pagar MRT station. Tanjong Pagar Centre's six levels of retail space not only houses unique retail options, but there are also many restaurants that serve a variety of cuisines such as delicious Cream Buns from Hattendo Cafe and the Korean restaurant we are visiting today, SBCD Korean Tofu House.  Korean Tofu Houses' speciality is a Korean jjigae (Korean stew) called soontofu which is pretty much the same thing served at Tokyo Sundubu, spicy handmade tofu stew cooked with a variety of ingredients from meat and seafood to vegetables. What sets SBCD Korean Tofu House apart from Tokyo Sundubu is that this restaurant also serves Korean bulgogi (Korean grilled marinated meats) such as LA Galbi, Bulgogi, Pot Bulgogi, Spicy BBQ Pork, Spicy Grilled Chicken, Chicken Teeiyaki, Hot Stone Bibimbap, Bibimbap, Spicy Baby Octopus, Tteok Galbi and Pork Belly Tofu Kimchi.  Each main course comes with 5 b...

Gudetama Cafe - Theme Cafe Serves Decent Food

Gudetama, the grumpy and lazy popular Sanrio egg character from Japan, has finally arrived in Singapore. Gudetama Cafe opened on 30 November 2016 with roaring success. Snaking long queue can be seen outside the cafe   every day   in the following one month.    The 2300 square feet cafe has a seating capacity of 112, decorated with animated walls, waffle ceilings and egg-shaped booths.    That is all very well, but the most important question is: how is the food? Is it good enough to justify queueing for half an hour? Let's go and find out.      I was recommended this   Straw-Very "Lazy"   when I asked for a drink recommendation. It is essentially a sweet tea infused with lychee and blueberries. It is of just the right sweetness and the cute design makes it even more enjoyable.     I have been craving for a bread bowl for a while which is why I ordered   Gudetama Lobster Onsen . You can taste a bit of the lobster in th...
