There was a new noodle stall in the coffeeshop at Block 442 Clementi Avenue 3. The stall turned out to be Hwa Heng Beef Noodle. Hwa Heng Beef Noodle was forced to close due to the pandemic. The heritage brand is slowly reopening with 5 stalls in operation now. I decided to visit the stall in Jalan Besar which was the first stall to reopen. It is inside Earnest Coffeeshop, opposite Jalan Besar Sports Centre. Located opposite Jalan Besar Sports Centre, it’s about 10-minute walk from either Jalan Besar or Lavender MRT station. The red signboard with white English and Chinese words is so eye-catching, I saw the stall the moment I stepped into the coffeeshop.
