Shen & Co Cafe - Chic Antique Cafe in Beauty World

  If you enjoy exploring different themed cafes in Singapore, you should definitely check out Shen & Co on the ground floor of Beauty World Plaza. Shen & Co is decorated in antique theme, with antique typewriters and old posters. The menu is super cute with hand-drawn illustrations. You can find breakfast muffins, pancakes, waffles and french toast in all-day breakfast. Western mains is where you find the meat options while Eastern Mains is where you find fusion version of local dishes. Pancakes & Spinach Mushroom Omelette   [S$14] is not my usual breakfast but it gives me a little of both sweet and savory so I’m not complaining. A Kitchen (Bukit Panjang) - Northeastern Chinese Restaurant Chain

I finally got to visit the dongbei restaurant that my father has been telling me about in Bukit Panjang and it turned out to be another outlet of A Kitchen 友间厨坊. I have already been to its   Jurong East   and   Novena   outlets, I know the quality of the food will not disappoint. A Kitchen 友间厨坊 serves a wide selection of northeastern (dongbei) dishes that tastes exactly how I remember them. What to order No meal is complete at a northeastern Chinese restaurant without   Lamb Kebab 羊肉串   [S$1 ]. I have always liked the lamb skewers at A Kitchen, they know the secret of interlacing lean lamb meat with blocks of lamb fat which makes the meat more tender. I have been wanting to try   Beijing Lamb Spine Hotpot   老北京羊蝎子   [S$28 ] for the longest time. It’s such a huge portion, I counted at least 7-8 pieces of huge lamb spine. Wild Child Pizzette - Italian Neapolitan Flavors

  I seem to be on an Italian streak recently. The same friend who recommended   Fortuna   brought me to another Italian called Wild Child Pizzette. You can tell from the name of the restaurant that it has a more playful vibe. True to its name, Wild Child Pizzeria & Bar serves up playful Neapolitan pizzas, pastas and drinks. What to order Cauliflower Steak   [S$19] is as healthy as an antipizzette as you can get. Brown butter and tahini gives the otherwise bland cauliflower a creamy flavor. For something a little more unhealthy, the deep-fried   Arancini   [S$12] Italian rice balls are perfectly crispy. This   Spaghetti   [S$26] is not your regular spaghetti. It is cooked with almond pesto sauce, pine nuts and traditional Italian stracciatella cheese. Nutty, creamy and delicious, perfect! Fortuna Italian Restaurant - Sicilian and Neapolitan Flavors

Singapore has no shortage of fabulous Italian restaurants from the elegant   Sospiri   to my favorite   iO Italian Osteria . Joining the Italian dining scene is Fortuna Italian Restaurant. Fortuna is the second venture of three friends - Omar Tutino, Ergon Marzaioli and Giorgio Sorce - who started Fortuna Drink & Eat in Sydney in 2021. Omar Tutino is the head chef, Giorgio Sorce is the pizza master and Ergon Marzaioli is in charge of service. The space is small and cozy, much like a Sicilian home. The earthen colors, modern decor and bright lighting makes this perfect for any occasion. There were at least two birthday celebrations on the day I visited.
