Camille - Elegant Western Restaurant in Sentosa

My friend treated me to a meal at Camille, the restaurant he kept telling me about. If you are coming by public transport, take the Sentosa Express tram from VivoCity and get down at Imbiah station. Walk along the elevated floorboards and you will see a small staircase leading up to the bungalow that houses Wildseed and Camille. Wildseed Cafe is on the ground floor with alfresco garden tables while Camille is on the second floor. Camille is a dreamy restaurant with cream-white walls and petal-shaped lights. It is the perfect place if you are looking to impress a date or pamper your partner. We ordered the 4-Course Tasting Menu at S$85++ per person. Camille Bread Service I am absolutely in love with the bread. The kombu parker rolls are still warm to the touch and come with two types of butter, which are equally delicious. First Course Heirloom Tomatoes   is a great-tasting light cold appetizer where tomatoes are paired with goat cheese croquettes, shiso sorbet and hojicha tomato co...

Shabu Sai (Causeway Point) - Value-for-Money Shabu Shabu

I met up with a girlfriend whom I have not seen in a long while and she wanted to have steamboat or hotpot. We walked around Causeway Point and chanced upon Shabu Sai which offers Regular Buffet [Adult S$18.99, Child S$11.99] and Wagyu Beef Buffet [Adult S$39.99, Child S$17.99]. The price looks reasonable, so we went for the Regular Buffet. Here are the condiments where you can make your condiment masterpiece. My favorite non-spicy dipping sauce is dashi soy sauce + ponzu sauce + garlic + sesame paste which makes everything tastes better. Regular Buffet gives you unlimited pork belly, pork collar, chicken and beef. My favorite is the beef which has nice marbling to give the meat its tender texture when cooked. There are 20+ hotpot ingredients and vegetables. Even though there isn’t as much variety as other restaurants, all the ingredients are fresh. Shabu Sai (Causeway Point) Address: 1 Woodlands Square, Causeway Point #05-14/15, Singapore 738099 Telephone: 64621557 Opening Hours...

JUNRYO - Quality Handmade Sushi from S$1 Onwards

I recently saw a video on TikTok talking about a Japanese restaurant that sells handmade sushi starting from S$1. I thought it's too good to be true so I decided to visit JUNRYO and find out for myself. JUNRYO is a tiny Japanese restaurant in Orchard Plaza. It's a little challenging to find the place, just keep a lookout for this red wall with wooden door and half-circular window. Inside, there are only 8 counter seats so you can see your sushi being prepared. There are only 2 people in the restaurant, Chef Samuel Lau and a Filipino staff. JUNRYO offers 40 handmade sushi with prices ranging from S$1 to S$10 a piece. Each piece of sushi is handmade by Chef Samuel Lau right in front of you, with premium ingredients flown in from Japan. Even for the S$1 sushi such as   Tamago   [S$1], care is put into every detail. My favourite is   Hotate   [S$4] where the sweetness of the scallop tells me how fresh it is.   Kanapachi   [S$4] and   Chutoro   [S$6] a...
