Burger & Lobster (Jewel Changi Airport) - Every Bit as Good as in London

I was really excited when I learnt that Burger & Lobster was going to set up its first Singapore outlet in Jewel Changi Airport. Most Singaporeans were anticipating Burger & Lobster simply because of its popularity but I had a more personal reason.

SANDEMANs NEW Europe Free Tour of London ended in Parliament Square. I was famished after all that walking so I decided to treat myself to a good lunch. A quick search on Google showed me some interesting lunch spots, one of which was Burger & Lobster's outlet on Dean Street. It was a short walk from Parliament Square and it was highly recommended on TripAdvisor. I had the Lobster Roll and it was simply fantastic.

Now that Burger & Lobster has finally come to Singapore, I wanted to see if it lives up to my memory.

Burger & Lobster - Restaurant Front

Burger & Lobster - Counter

Located in the Canopy Park on level 5 of Jewel Changi Airport, Burger & Lobster is right in front of the escalator.

Tables and chairs are spaciously scattered around the countertop, making you feel as if you are really dining in a garden complete with air-conditioning.

Burger & Lobster - Menu

Most of the items on the menu are the same as what you will find in London outlets. There is a special Sambal-Glazed Lobster [S$65] that is only available at the Jewel Changi Airport outlet.

There are only 2 starters available at Jewel Changi Airport outlet as compared with the 8 starters I saw in the Dean Street outlet.

I really loved the Crispy Calamari [£7.50] I had in Burger & Lobster (Dean Street) but I guess I won’t be able to have it in the Singapore outlet.

You can also find their full food menu on their website.

This is the same Original Roll [S$40] that I ordered in Burger & Lobster (Dean Street) and even the price is the same. I personally feel that this is so much better than just Original Lobster [S$65]. The wild live Canadian lobster are shelled and tossed with Burger & Lobster’s signature lemon & garlic butter. Sandwiched in a warm and fluffy toasted brioche roll, it hits all the right spots.

Burger & Lobster - B&L Pineapple Iced Tea

Burger & Lobster offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholics drinks.

DanielFoodDiary recommended this B&L Pineapple Iced Tea [S$9] which comes in a take-away plastic bag hung on a metal stand which is really cute. A mixture of black tea, pineapple, lemon and palm sugar, this cold sweet and tangy drink has a tropical feel to it.

Burger & Lobster - Condiments

Yes! Burger & Lobster has opened another outlet at the iconic Raffles Hotel. I won’t have to go all the way to Jewel Changi Airport for Burger & Lobster anymore. I am going to try their burgers and I will write another review on that.

Till then, folks!

PAUL

PAUL is a renowned family French bakery and patisserie founded in 1889. Bringing with them them the fine tradition of passion for food and French traditions, PAUL gives Singaporeans a glimpse into French culture and tradition through the delicious and visually-appealing pastries and food.       PAUL's Hot Chocolate is not as creamy as I would have liked it but every last drop is made with good-quality cocoa powder.     Lemon Tart With Meringue is not exactly my favourite dessert, but it looked so pretty that I decided to give it a try anyway. However, it proved to be too sour for my palette even with the beautifully flamed meringue.    Croque Madame is croque-monsieur (grilled ham and cheese sandwich) topped with a fried egg. Emmental cheese, cream and ham is sandwich in pain de eie and toasted till a rich golden brown colour. Topped with a fried egg with runny yolk, every bite is filled with delicious goodness.   Address and telephone n...

Korean bingsu is a popular Korean dessert comprising of ice shavings and various ingredients such as sweetened condensed milk, fruit syrups, fresh fruits, Korean rice cake and ice-cream. Bingsu is all the craze in Singapore now and Korean bingsu cafes are popping up everywhere like wild mushrooms.                            Besides bingsu, this dessert cafe also serves usual cafe offerings such as coffee and tea. I have been told that their Signature Oven-Baked Honey Bread is very good. The flavours include Strawberry & Chocolate with Ice Cream, Banana & Chocolate with Ice Cream and Green Tea with Ice Cream.     I was told that   Mango Cheesecake Bingsu   is one of the most popular item on the menu. Oh my, it is a sight to behold! A bowl of shaved ice is topped with sweetened condensed milk and freshly-cut m...

Grandma's - Authentic Singapore Food

Grandma's has been around for quite a while now but I only got the chance to try their food recently when the third outlet opened in Suntec City.        I remember having these prawn crackers when I was little. They are so easy and good to eat, I can finish a whole package of this in one sitting.     I don't usually order Malay food, but the Nasi Bukhari looked so good in the menu, I thought I will give it a try. Fragrant yellow turmeric rice is served with golden brown chicken leg which is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Prawns were fresh and succulent but I don't really like the sauce the prawns are cooked in. What really amazes me about this dish is the beef rendang.          I never knew Bo Bo Cha Cha is so such a delightful dessert until I tried it here at Grandma's. The warm and thick coconut tastes so good with chunks of sweet potato and yam. This is definitely comfort food that warms the heart.   Gr...
