Charr’d Steakhouse - Halal A5 Japanese Wagyu

It’s been almost a year since I last met up with my girlfriend at   Tipo Gnocchi . She knows I love a good steak so she suggested Charr’d Steakhouse which opened in March this year. Charr’d Steakhouse is located between Eunos and Kembangan stations. It’s a good 15 minutes walk from either station, perfect for working up an appetite. Interior The red neon lights on the wall that says “Best Beef Cuts” brings out the steakhouse vibe of the place. The Food The menu features 2 starters, 6 mains, a sharing platter, 5 sides and 2 desserts to choose from. First comes our mocktails which are   The Greenhouse Effect   [S$12] and   Muscat Kick Fix   [S$12]. They are really more like flavored and colored extremely-sweet soda drinks. Nothing special with the   Truffle Fries   [S$13] with the usual shaved parmesan and truffle oil. The   Cream’d Moonlight Spinach   [S$13] really blew my mind. The addition of parmigiano-reggiano cheese, cream, pine nuts and ...

CAMO Cafe & Bar - New Cafe & Bar in SAFRA Choa Chu Kang

Thanks to me being a member of Tung Lok Group, I received an email informing me about the opening of their newest restaurant, CAMO Cafe & Bar in the new SAFRA Choa Chu Kang. CAMO which is short for "camouflage", is a collaboration between SAFRA Singapore and TungLok Group. It is a cafe by day and transforms into a bar at night. CAMO Cafe & Bar sounds like a good brunch spot, so I made a trip to SAFRA Choa Chu Kang one find Sunday morning to check out this new restaurant. Design SAFRA Choa Chu Kang is located at the far left corner of Choa Chu Kang Park. It takes around 10-15 minutes to reach there from Choa Chu Kang MRT station. I spotted CAMO's bight white signage before I even stepped foot into SAFRA Choa Chu Kang. The cafe is located directly behind the drop-off turnabout and underneath the indoor swimming pool. I'm assuming the inside of the cafe is made to resemble the army canteen with metal stalls where you place your order and collect your food. Even...

Gotti Italiano - Three-Course Executive Set Lunch at $32++

My colleague recently brought us to a new Italian restaurant called Gotti Italiano. It is such a charming place and the food is so good that I really want to share with all my readers. Decor It’s cosy and elegant with an air of sophistication inside. The first thing you see when you walk through the door is the long bar counter. Dome-shaped glass shelves displaying the various liquors is illuminated with bright orange light. Sit along the grey marble countertop with a cocktail or pte-dinner drink. The wall painting at the far end of the restaurant gives the place a touch of contemporary charm. The Food We were there during lunch so they gave us the Executive Set Lunch Menu at S$32++ per person. You get to choose a starter (antipasti), a main and a dolce (dessert). In Italian restaurants, the meal always starts with a complimentary bread basket. The breads are still warm to the touch and they taste so good with the balsamic and olive oil. Antipasti Zuppa Del Giorno   which means sou...
